Singapore's core inflation eases to 0.6 pct in May on lower food prices

SINGAPORE, June 23 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's core inflation slowed to 0.6 percent year-on-year in May, down from 0.7 percent in April, according to official data released on Monday. In a joint statement, the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Monetary Authority of Singapore attributed the moderation primarily to a decline in food inflation.
