Jordan's king urges regional de-escalation in call with British PM

AMMAN, June 22 (Xinhua) -- Jordan's King Abdullah II on Sunday emphasized the urgent need for increased international efforts to achieve comprehensive calm in the region, cautioning against the ramifications of escalating tensions. The king, in a phone conversation with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, reaffirmed that Jordan would not permit its territory to be used for any military conflict, nor would it tolerate any threat to its securit......
