Syria enacts 200 pct pay raise for public sector workers

DAMASCUS, June 22 (Xinhua) -- Syrian interim leader Ahmed al-Sharaa issued a decree Sunday granting a 200 percent increase in the base salaries and wages of public sector employees, according to the state news agency SANA. The raise applies to workers across ministries, state administrations, public institutions, and companies within the public sector.
