German embassy staff in Tehran transferred abroad amid conflict

Berlin (dpa) - Germany has temporarily withdrawn its embassy staff from Tehran due to the ongoing hostilities between Israel and Iran, public broadcaster ARD reported on Saturday, citing the German Foreign Office. The staff have been transferred abroad, it said, adding that family members had already left the country. The measures are similar to those taken by other countries, the office said.
