Türkiye detains 39 suspected IS members in anti-terror operations

ANKARA, June 16 (Xinhua) -- Turkish police detained 39 suspects accused of involvement with the Islamic State (IS) over the past two weeks across the country, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on Monday. The coordinated counter-terrorism operations were conducted across 18 provinces, including Adana, Bursa, Hatay, Istanbul, and Samsun, Yerlikaya said on the social media platform X.
