President Hichilema extends national mourning period

Lusaka, June 16, 2025, ZANIS - President Hakainde Hichilema has extended the national mourning period in honour of late Former Republican President, Edgar Lungu, for another nine days after the expiry of the initial seven days national mourning yesterday, 14th June, 2025.
In a press statement issued by Secretary to Cabinet, Patrick Kangwa today, the extended mourning period will be observed from today 15th June, 2025 to Monday 23rd June, 2025.
