Germany faces stagnation in 2025 as central bank sinks forecast

Frankfurt (dpa) - Germany's central bank on Friday lowered its economic forecast for 2025, predicting economic stagnation amid uncertainty over US trade policy. The central bank, or Bundesbank, now expects no growth in real gross domestic product (GDP) in 2025, down from the muted 0.2% predicted in December.
