Lithuania opens Baltic's largest wind farm

VILNIUS, June 5 (Xinhua) -- The Kelme Wind Farm, the largest wind energy project in Lithuania and the Baltic states, has officially commenced full commercial operations on Thursday. The farm, with a capacity of 314 megawatts, is expected to generate 1 terawatt-hour of electricity annually -- about one-twelfth of Lithuania's yearly consumption -- enough to power 250,000 households.
