56 migrants intercepted off Guinea-Bissau coast

BISSAU, June 3 (Xinhua) -- The National Guard of Guinea-Bissau intercepted on Tuesday an improvised boat carrying 56 irregular migrants off the coast of Cacheu, in the north of the country, police sources reported. The passengers aboard the pirogue included 41 men, 14 women, and one child. According to the same sources, they were primarily nationals of Guinea-Bissau, Senegal, and Guinea.
