Eva Umlauf becomes International Auschwitz Committee president

Berlin (dpa) - Holocaust survivor Eva Umlauf has become the new president of the International Auschwitz Committee after the 82-year-old was elected at a meeting of the executive board, the committee announced on Saturday. Umlauf succeeds Marian Turski, a Holocaust survivor who passed away in February at the age of 98 in Warsaw.
