NEW YORK, May 20 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell in late trading on Tuesday. The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased by 0.31 percent to 100.119 at 3:00 p.m. (1900 GMT). In late New York trading, the euro climbed to 1.1273 U.S. dollars from 1.1235 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound was up to 1.3379 dollars from 1.3356 dollars in the previous session.
