Soviet-era space probe flies over Germany before expected crash

Paris (dpa) - A Soviet-era space probe flew over Germany on Saturday morning shortly before its anticipated crash to the Earth. Radar systems detected the device over the country between 6.30 am (0630 GMT) and 8.04 am, the European Space Agency (ESA) said on Friday. The Cosmos-482 craft, launched by the Soviet Union to Venus in 1972, is expected to hit the Earth's surface this weekend without ever having reached its destination. According to ESA,......
