MOSCOW, May 2 (RIA Novosti) - The European Union has made no formal proposal to the US for a possible trade deal although discussions are ongoing, European Commission trade spokesman Olof Gill said on Friday. EU Trade Commissioner Maros Sefcovic previously told the Financial Times that the EU could increase imports of goods from the United States by 50 billion euros ($56.8 billion) to reduce the trade deficit and avoid US tariffs.
