The Democratic Republic of the Congo government called on its senate Wednesday to lift immunity for former president Joseph Kabila who has been accused of helping the armed rebel M23 group. Eastern DRC, rich in resources and bordering Rwanda, has been plagued by conflict for 30 years, but violence has intensified with the resurgence of the M23 in 2021. In recent months, President Felix Tshisekedi has accused Kabila of preparing "an insurrection"......
