Woman electrocuted at guesthouse in Kavango West Region

NKURENKURU, 20 FEB (NAMPA) - A 40-year-old woman was electrocuted while taking a bath at a guesthouse in Katara village in the Kavango West Region on Wednesday.
Chief Inspector Raimbert Muronga confirmed the incident to Nampa, saying the deceased has been identified as Maria Nepemba Katega, who was a teacher at Elia Combined School.
“The incident occurred between 06h00 and 08h00 on Wednesday,” Muronga said.
He said Katega was attending a workshop, which was being hosted at the guesthouse. Her remains were taken to the Nkurenkuru police mortuary, and an autopsy will be carried out.
Her next of kin have been informed and investigations continue.
