Mines ministry confirms earthquakes in Okahandja and Opuwo

WINDHOEK, 11 NOV (NAMPA) – The Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) has confirmed that two earthquakes happened in Okahandja and Opuwo over the past weekend.
MME in a media statement on Monday said the first earthquake, with a magnitude of 3.7, struck approximately 27 kilometres southwest of Gross Barmen (Okahandja) on Saturday at 09h03, while a second earthquake of magnitude 4.2 occurred 10 kilometres southwest of Opuwo on Sunday at 00h14.
