Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Thursday held a phone call with his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan to discuss regional issues, Iranian state media reported. The two regional powerhouses restored ties in 2023 after a freeze but have been at odds over the war in Yemen, where the Houthis are fighting the Saudi-backed internationally recognised government and have repeatedly launched attacks on the kingdom.
