South Korean stocks plunged more than six percent Tuesday as chipmakers were hit by another sell-off fuelled by fresh concerns over the AI investment boom. The Kospi index dived 6.1 percent to 5,993.29 in morning trade, with semiconductor giant SK hynix shedding more than eight percent and rival Samsung down more than six percent.
