U.S. stocks close mixed

NEW YORK, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended mixed on Monday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 195.6 points, or 0.38 percent, to 51,850.55. The S&P 500 sank 4.3 points, or 0.06 percent, to 7,807.24. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 120.27 points, or 0.44 percent, to 27,245.9. Eight of the 11 primary S&P 500 sectors ended in green, with energy and consumer staples leading the gainers by going up 1.48 percent and 1.22 percent, respecti......
