The EU's executive branch warned Monday that massive cuts to the bloc's next long-term budget risked undermining key priorities after the latest proposal slashed the budget by 141 billion euros. Ireland, which holds the EU's rotating presidency, published the latest proposal on Saturday with member states deeply divided over the size of the 2028-2034 budget they hope to agree by Christmas.
