French trade gap narrows

Paris (dpa-AFX) - France's trade deficit narrowed in August as imports fell faster than exports, data from the French customs office showed on Wednesday. The trade deficit fell to ?6.12 billion ($6.84 billion) from ?6.59 billion in July. In the same month last year, the deficit was ?4.84 billion. Economists had forecast the trade shortfall to narrow moderately to ?6.5 billion. Exports fell 0.8% month on month in August, while imports declined 1.5......
