U.S. dollar ticks down

NEW YORK, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar weakened in late trading on Friday. The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, lost 0.17 percent to 101.933 at 3 p.m. (1900 GMT). In late New York trading, the euro increased to 1.1252 dollars from 1.1235 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound advanced to 1.3239 dollars from 1.3190 dollars in the previous session. The U.S. dollar bought 157.80 Japan......
