Russia launches commercial 5G mobile networks

MOSCOW, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- The Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media announced Friday that Russia has put its first 5G mobile networks into commercial operation. The ministry said that in the first phase, 5G networks have been launched in 16 cities including Moscow, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg, covering roughly 10 million people.
