U.S. average diesel price hits new high

NEW YORK, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. national average price for diesel rose to a record 5.9015 U.S. dollars per gallon on Monday, surpassing the record 5.85 dollars set on Friday, according to the American Automobile Association. The previous record was 5.82 dollars per gallon in June 2022, in the early months of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
