German petrol prices hit record high as Iran war drives up oil

Munich (dpa) - The price of petrol in Germany has hit a record high following the renewed escalation of the war with Iran, the ADAC motoring association said on Thursday. The nationwide daily average price for a litre of E10 petrol rose to ?2.215 ($2.57) on Wednesday, surpassing the previous record of ?2.203 set in March 2022, the ADAC said.
