VLADIVOSTOK, Russia, September 3 (RIA Novosti) - There was a threat of a hyper-surge in inflation in Russia, but we did not allow it, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday. "The goal [of the policy pursued by the Central Bank and the Russian government] is to suppress inflation.
