ALMATY, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- Erlan Karin, former first deputy head of the Presidential Administration, was appointed vice president of Kazakhstan on Monday, the Kazinform news agency reported. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the appointment decree after parliament approved the nomination, the report said.
