2 Palestinians, including child, killed in Israeli strike in Gaza

JERUSALEM/GAZA, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- An Israeli airstrike killed at least two Palestinians, including a child, in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza on Sunday, Palestinian media reported, while Israel's military said the attack targeted a Hamas militant. In a statement, the military identified the man as Hassam Osama Hussein Nasir, whom it said belonged to Hamas' armed wing and had been planning attacks against Israeli troops.
