Reservoir at risk of breaching as severe flooding hits SW China's Yunnan

KUNMING, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- Heavy rainfall has triggered severe flooding in Mohan Town in southwest China's Yunnan Province, with a reservoir at risk of breaching, authorities said Saturday. From Friday afternoon to Saturday morning, heavy rainstorms battered Mengla County in Xishuangbanna, with Mohan Town under Mengla recording a maximum 24-hour rainfall of 187.5 millimeters, leading to flooding in the area.
