RUNDU, 27 AUG (NAMPA) – The Kavango East Region does not have a dedicated public mental health hospital, forcing patients who need specialised psychiatric care to travel to major hospitals such as Windhoek Central Hospital or Oshakati Intermediate Hospital.
This was highlighted after assessments for the 2025/26 financial year as one of the challenges facing the Ministry of Health and Social Services in the region.
