Jihadists kidnapped and killed scores of people in an attack during Friday prayers in central Nigeria's Niger state, a local resident and lawmaker told AFP Saturday. Lakurawa militants "slaughtered some of our people" and "kidnapped many", said Jibril Ahmad, from Dikera village, adding some were able to escape when another jihadist group, known as Mahmuda, started clashing with the militants.
