MOSCOW, August 8 (RIA Novosti) - An earthquake of magnitude 5.6 was recorded off the coast of the Japanese island of Honshu, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) said on Saturday. The earthquake was recorded at 17:57 GMT 26.7miles east-northeast of the town of Noda, which has a population of 4,200 people, the EMSC said, adding that the focus of the earthquake was located at a depth of 21 miles.
