Wellbrock leads Germany to relay gold at European championships

Paris (dpa) - Florian Wellbrock crowned his European Aquatics Championships participation with a third open water gold medal as his Germany team won the 1,500-metre mixed team relay in Paris on Saturday. Isabel Gose took over from Julia Ackermann to put Germany in second and Oliver Klemet took the lead before handing over to Wellbrock, who brought it home. Germany finished the race in 1 hour 03 minutes 39.2 seconds, beating Italy by 2.0 seconds.......
