Germany's DAX extends record run, tops 26,000 points

Frankfurt (dpa) - Germany's benchmark DAX index climbed above the 26,000-point mark for the first time on Monday, amid hope for new talks between the US and Iran on an end to the war. By the close of trading, Germany's blue-chip stock index it had risen by 1.45% to 26,001.31 points, after having soared to nearly 26,100 points earlier in the day.
