Philippine capital to use AI-powered drones to forecast flooding

MANILA, July 31 (Xinhua) -- Manila, the capital of the Philippines, plans to deploy AI technology that can forecast flooding up to two hours in advance, local media reported on Thursday. City officials said the system uses AI-powered drones and 3D mapping technology to analyze rainfall, water volume and land elevation to identify areas at risk of flooding.
