UK Health Security Agency Records 2,877 Heat-Related Deaths in May, June

MOSCOW, July 30 (RIA Novosti) - The unusually hot weather that swept the United Kingdom in May and June claimed 2,877 lives in England alone, the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) said on Thursday. "The estimated 2,877 heat-associated deaths observed across the May and June heat episodes represent a substantial public health impact occurring early in the summer season," the public health agency said in an interim report.
