NEW YORK, July 24 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar strengthened in late trading on Friday. The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, added 0.02 percent to 101.468 at 3 p.m. (1900 GMT). In late New York trading, the euro fell to 1.1370 dollars from 1.1377 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound climbed to 1.3326 dollars from 1.3318 dollars in the previous session.
