Singapore core inflation rises to 1.6 pct year-on-year in June

SINGAPORE, July 23 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's core inflation rose to 1.6 percent year-on-year in June from 1.4 percent in May, official data showed on Thursday. The Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Ministry of Trade and Industry said in a joint statement that the increase was driven by higher inflation for food, services, retail and other goods.
