Tufan Erhurman, president of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), was hospitalised on Friday evening after being taken ill, local media reports said. Erhurman, who was elected as head of the breakaway territory in October, fell ill while attending an event in the Old Town in the northern half of the island's divided capital Nicosia, Haber Kibris news website reported.
