Berlin (dpa) - German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has praised former national football team coach Julian Nagelsmann for his work following the latter's resignation, government spokesman Stefan Kornelius said on Friday. "The chancellor thanks Julian Nagelsmann for his commitment and efforts in recent years as national team coach," Kornelius said.
