Slovakia on Monday registered a new record temperature of 41C, its weather service said, with three stations near the border with Hungary all beating a previous high of 40.3C set in 2007. The temperature reached 41C in Turna nad Bodvou in southestern Slovakia, according to the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMU).
