Full back Weiser has Bremen contract renewed

Bremen (dpa) - Werder Bremen have renewed the contract of full back Mitchell Weiser who missed the entire past season with a cruciate knee ligament tear. Bremen gave no details while news reports said that the 32-year-old received a one-year extension until 2027. "For me, Mitch is almost like a new signing.
