KATIMA MULILO, 16 JUN (NAMPA) – Mubiza Combined School near Katima Mulilo in the Zambezi Region joined the rest of the world in observing the 50th commemoration of the International Day of the African Child on Tuesday.
The Day of the African Child commemorates the 1976 Soweto student uprising, when South African students protested against apartheid-era education policies, which resulted in the deaths of hundreds of students.
