Election of Next UN Secretary General May Be Delayed - Moscow

MOSCOW, June 16 (RIA Novosti) - The election for the post of UN secretary general may be delayed due to divergent views among member states, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Alimov said in an interview with RIA Novosti. The UN Security Council is scheduled to hold an indicative vote on candidates in July and identify the one acceptable to all permanent members, the official said.
