Dutch giants Feyenoord said on Sunday they had sacked Robin van Persie as coach after a frustrating season that saw them finish 19 points adrift of champions PSV Eindhoven. It was a "difficult decision" to fire the 42-year-old former Arsenal and Manchester United star, the club's technical director Devy Rigaux said in a statement.
