Bolivia's legislature on Sunday passed a new law granting US-backed President Rodrigo Paz the power to deploy the military to clear roadblocks that have crippled key cities for weeks. "This law is hereby passed. Let it be forwarded to the executive branch," the lower-chamber's president, Roberto Castro, declared following an hours-long overnight debate.
