Electricity producer prices down 14 per cent annually

WINDHOEK, 26 MAY (NAMPA) - Producer prices for electricity generation, transmission and distribution declined by 14.2 per cent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2026, recording an index of 85.8 points against a base of 100 set in June 2024, the Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA) said in a bulletin released recently.

The index remained unchanged on a quarterly basis, recording the same figure as in the fourth quarter of 2025.
