Inflation in Cyprus jumps to 22-month high

Athens (dpa-AFX) - Cyprus' consumer price inflation accelerated in April to the highest level in nearly two years, preliminary data from the statistical office showed on Thursday. The consumer price index (CPI) climbed 2.8% year-on-year in April, faster than the 1.2% increase in March. Moreover, this was the highest inflation rate since June 2024, when prices rose 2.9%.
