The US Supreme Court struck down Louisiana's electoral map Wednesday and curbed the use of race to determine district boundaries in a landmark ruling that could be a major boost to Republican prospects in November's midterm elections. The southern state had drawn a second majority-Black district in 2024 to comply with the 1965 Voting Rights Act, which bars states from diluting minority votes, but a group of non-Black voters challenged the new map......
