WASHINGTON, April 23 (RIA Novosti) - The United States Air Force plans to purchase about 4,300 Joint Air to Surface Standoff Missiles (JASSM) from Lockheed Martin over the next five years, according to budget documents reviewed by RIA Novosti. The US Air Force intends to acquire 821 of these missiles in fiscal year 2027, up from 144 in fiscal year 2026. Procurement is expected to rise to 896 missiles in 2028.
